Worst. ER. Experience. EVER. Waited 2+ hours in the waiting room with excruciating pain while literally sobbing. Dude next to me had a concussion and wasn’t seen either. Both of us ended up leaving. Such a huge hospital but not enough staff or beds apparently? Do better.
On September 27, the doctors and nurses on duty in ER at Petoskey stopped my pain, calmed me, and searched for resources. I had a quiet place to rest while waiting for the lab for a CT scan. My companion was allowed in with me and her questions were answered quickly as mine were. These people are complete professionals. I had come in as one shift ended for both sets of care providers but the hand-off was seamless. The usual, required context queries were gotten out of the way expeditiously as were admissions data. It's like a hospital from the 1950s. No one is willing to tell you anything, I waited 2 hrs and 10 min. For a Tylenol, and there are no private rooms- at least what they say. It makes me worried about the quality of medical care. One bright light- Danielle, a patient care technition. Stay well!
Cash factory that happens to front as a hospital Drive to Charlevoix and get real treatment by professionals who care and like working where they do. This is one angry staff at the new owners and you can feel it!

Hospital Gift Shop Northern Mi Hospital has a wonderful gift shop. It is small but packed with alot of items. I love the fact that they have alot of items under $20 that make great gifts for family and friends that are in the hospital. They also have wonderful floral arrangements. Will help you bright up anyones day.
