I had a worst experience here nurses having zero empathy . I felt’s I was pre exposed to whom infected with HIV and needed to be examined by doctor risk been infected and place on PREP . I have 72 hours to be place on PREP if at high risk. I had long hours drive from Calgary to forth McMurray went directly to hospital same day, where I resided. unfortunate I have to wait 5hrs to see a doctor at the northern lights Hospital emergency section. Building and grounds maintenance needs attention. There is a sprinkler pipe at the entrance that has been leaking for the past year, and old sign touting a decade-old renovation. How about a parkade so your staff and patients and their loved ones have somewhere to park? Emergency room staff need additional training on how to properly triage people, and some of the other staff care more about not being sued than having respect for the living tissue of the person they're working on. Doctors suck. Everything about the place just sucks.
This WAS a great friendly professional health centre. Something has gone very wrong. The staff were rude didn’t informed me of what they were giving me for medication and didn’t even properly discharge me with any instructions for my open burn wound and server swelling. Watched them roll their eyes at other patients and talk about them in the halls. What happened to all the beautiful staff I’ve met there before?
I want to express my sincere gratitude to all the staff for their prompt and professional response when needed. Their caring nature truly made a difference. I also want to thank the emergency department and the entire team on the third floor.
