My first experience at Northern Light hospital in Pittsfield was for an Emergency Room visit and it couldn't have gone much better. Quick registration, then a long initial wait but sometimes that is what it is. Everyone that I dealt with was efficient and friendly and went out of their way to make sure I got the treatment I needed. Thank you

I went to Sebasticook Valley Hospital Emergency Room yesterday around 12:20am, for an excruciating pain in my left side... All that happened was I did a urine test and it came out negative, and they gave me a lidocaine patch (which didn't really help). I was there for 3 hours, and all they did was stick me in a wheelchair, did a urine test, and told me it was a muscle strain. Haha.. I had it since June 9th at 2:30pm, and all they are giving me for a diagnosis is that it is a muscle strain.. If I end up with appendicitis, or ... read more

Don't go to this ER unless you enjoy being treated less than a dog. They may put you on a THIN mattress on the DIRTY FLOOR! And have absolutely NO compassion given to you. And you may choose to walk out mid-way through your visit. But if you have to get procedures done, however, it is absolutely wonderful. It's always been my experience that the specialists are respectful, compassionate, and comforting. And I have never had a long wait.
