Nurse/docters assistant was awesome, however I went once and was out in 5 minutes was told nothing was wrong, I went 3 days later to do blood testing and x rays because “nothing wrong” wasn’t the answer, it’s been 3 days and no x-rays were sent out to my doctor prolonging this painful experience and was told they will not call confirming test results unless positive with no time or date on when that would be, over all it’s like pulling teeth
The facility is clean and the staff is great. The ability to receive medical assistance without having to wait days, weeks, or months, is a wonderful service that I really appriciate. A great asset to the Windham area. As with any other medical service, at times the number of people waiting for help can result in long waiting times, especially during the summer.. I have found that calling ahead, if possible, can often make things go smoother.
We are from out of state and found ourselves in a tough spot looking for immediate care for our children on our last two trips to Maine. We’ve made a total of three visits to Northern Light Mercy Walk-In Care in the last two months, and have had outstanding experiences each time. There was little to no wait, reception staff was warm & welcoming, and the medical staff were outstanding. We are so grateful for the care option in Windham. Don’t let them deny you flu/COVID testing because they “don’t think you have it” or because people who have it “look worse”. The first time I came here last year I requested both tests and they at first tried to decline, I asked them again to test me, and it came back positive for COVID. I went again this week and asked them to test, he didn’t and just assumed I had an upper respiratory infection. The only reason I didn’t ask again is because it was close to closing. i felt and was well cared for every step of the way! i told the person who was the "provider," physicians assistant, that if i could see her every time, i would choose her as my primary care provider and always go there. made a big difference for me that day!
