It's easy to see where the bloated healthcare costs are coming from. The care at Northern Lights seems generally ok, but the administrative side is a complete mess. There is an endless amount of registration and check-ins sending you all over the place. Even as a regular patient, each time there is something different. They charged my insurance almost $2000.00 for a 30 minute office visit and blood work. Just basic blood work nothing specialized. The oncologist did not review my blood work with me. I had other blood work added so I would not have to be poked twice. They never faxed my blood work results to the ordering provider. Abnormal finding. No one called. Not PCP, not nurse. What exactly am I paying for?
My mom has been seeing doctors here for a long time after a lung cancer diagnosis in 2010. The level of care has always been wonderful, until now.
