I’ve been with Northern for many years. I’ve banked with others and I’m glad I made the switch. I once had a large overdraft when I started a new job, northern called, they listened and treated me like a human. They understood I needed money to survive and rather than taking the entire amount they allowed me to make payments each check. They’ve worked with me and helped me find ways to take out loans when times got tough. They’ve been nothing but good to me.
The worst bank/credit union ever!!!! I went to see if they could give me change for 100. She said sure I can do that you. Then she asked for my bank ID I said I don't have one cuz I don't have an account here, she immediately handed me my $100 bill back and said I can't help you here because you don't have an account here I said well my mom has an account there but we don't care about that you can't cash it under her either!! Customer friendly staff. Excellent place for all your financial services and needs! Totally recommend them to everyone!
My daughter who lives out of state recently had occasion to wire $106 from her Chase account to my Northern account. Not only did her bank charge her a $25 outgoing wire fee, but, get ready for this, "my Northern" slapped me with a $22 incoming wire fee. Seriously? What could possibly justify these practices? It's nothing but a blatant money grab, They won't be "My Northern" for much longer.
