I am extremely disappointed with the management and communication at this Emergency Department. I presented with a cat bite and ended up waiting for 10 hours overnight without ever seeing a doctor. > The core issue is that this department clearly does not have enough doctors on duty. For a standard situation like mine, a doctor only needed five minutes to assess the X-ray, instruct a nurse to clean the wound, and order a tetanus booster. That’s it. Instead, I was completely abandoned in the waiting room for half a day with z... read more
Do not go here! The hospital runs triage like a Centrelink dole queue. It is inconceivable in 2026 that you are told to take a number and wait for over an hour in a triage queue. A woman passed out in front of us waiting in the triage queue! The department is extremely busy, with patients constantly arriving and staff doing their best to care for everyone safely and efficiently. Everyone’s safety and care is important, and I encourage people to be kind and respectful to the staff, regardless of their role or capacity. I would highly recommend the staff and the hosp... read more
The waiting time in the emergency department is unacceptable. There is only one doctor on duty, and patients are required to wait more than five hours to be seen. This situation is highly concerning and does not meet reasonable expectations for timely medical care
