We highly recommend NIVES, from Dr. Leffers, the cardiologist, and her assistant, to the ER staff. Yesterday afternoon, when our Havanese girl took a turn for the worst, we knew we couldn't make her wait the three days for the first available local vet appointment. During the night, we brought her to NIVES where they treated both her and us in a professional, efficient, kind and caring manner. We came in with our big Lab who had eaten half a box of rat poison. The staff was incredible. They took him right back and started treatment right away. We were on our way home in less than an hour with our “Rookie”!
Called about an hour before I got to the vet, so they knew that I was on my way with my dog. I walked in they got me in a room right away, Dr came in a few minutes later and let me know his plans for my dog. We were in an out in 1 hour roughly! If we ever have problems with our animals we will definitely be going back. All of the staff was super nice and friendly especially with us having to go in super late at night!
Best care anywhere in an emergency. Everyone was very caring and attentive. Answered my questions. I have used them before and will continue to use NIVES as needed in the future if needed.
Nives is a great place to take your pets for top notch care! I took my dachsund to the cardiologist for a suspected mitral valve disease. I spoke with Molly over the phone to make an appointment, she was very kind. Dr. Leffers and Susan (RVT) were both a pleasure to work with. Susan did an awesome job of greeting us, making us feel welcome, and explained the process of an echocardiogram, and what that would entail.
