I had a fantastic experience with Northeast Georgia Plastic Surgery and Dr. Schaheen! I had an elective excision done, and it was a quick, easy, and painless procedure. It is clear that the staff is eager to help (they worked with me to find a time ASAP and they understood my work schedule). Consultation was direct, surgery itself was quick and painless, and post-op appointment was easy, as they only had to take out some stitches. Dr. Abell did a great job with my breast reconstruction. It was devastating enough to be diagnosed with breast cancer in my early 40's. I was again devastated when I found out that I have a BRCA 1 mutation and a double mastectomy was my only choice if I wanted to prevent this from happening again. I considered going flat but my breast surgeon wanted me to have at least one visit with plastic surgery.
