As well as providing a venue for skill development and social gatherings. The Northampton Active Whitewater Centre was the UK’s first pumped, artificial whitewater course. This place has suffered its fair share of bad luck, the flooding last year bought its problems and the knock on effects were seen with the pump. We were there to lend a hand on one of those weekends because this is an amazing resource on our doorstep - to be proud of. The new pump was installed yesterday and was running today (2 pumps hurrah!). Elliot (bless him) was also there raking out weed to keep that flow running. Place is lovely. The white water course was only on one pump, so it was way too shallow. Way it is working on two pumps then the ourselves is very good for beginners and an introduction to white water
My daughter attended a day of the kids holiday club over Easter and absolutely loved it! Staff were great and it was a really different and exciting experience for her. Great mix of activities and very well organised. Highly recommend!
