I don’t usually write reviews, but I felt compelled to share how exceptional my experience was at North valley eye care. From the moment I walked in, I was impressed. The front desk person was warm, professional, and efficient—no long wait times or confusion with paperwork- did my paperwork before I went inn. Very thorough. Skilled and friendly doctor. Helpful and pleasant staff, as well.
While Dr. Barns did a good and through eye exam and her office is comfortable, I went to see her for a basic eye exam with vision insurance. Still paid $350 out of pocket because I was upsold (without my knowing the extent) on some fancy lenses on glasses I don't really need. My insurance paid $300 and was left to pay the additional $350. (even though my insurance covered lenses, apparently not all the added on features hers has) So if you are in the market to pat in the range of $550+ for a pair of basic readers, then by al... read more
