*SCAM ALERT* Called out this electrician on a Saturday night, quoted ~$339 call out fee upfront (which is fine). Electrician then charged a further $650 to 'inspect the fault' for 10 mins. Then suggested the fault was related to a melted powerpoint (which was melted more than 1 year and thus unused), replaced that for $100 (its $6.50 from Bunnings). But as that didnt fix the issue (surprise, suprise) then isolated the issue to a faulty circuit breaker. He replaced it with two breakers for $950!! It cost $41 at Bunnings for a... read more
