Took my girlfriend here for extreme abdominal pain, nausea, and headaches she’s been experiencing for over a year now but today was the worst it had ever been. I came to the ER for abdominal pain, nausea, and migraines and left feeling completely dismissed and belittled. As a healthcare worker in South Carolina, I understand that not every patient needs every test, and I understand the reasoning behind avoiding unnecessary imaging. We ended up there because of a dog bite late on a Sunday night from a dog we were trying to help get out of the highway. The doctor did everything I expected in a caring and compassionate way. He irrigated the wound, started me on antibiotics that night and counseled me on care and things to watch out for. The kindness of him and the staff eased my anxiety in a stressful time.
