August 21, 2025 my husband was transported by North State from Sentara Albemarle in Elizabeth City NC to Sentara Norfolk General in VA. Non-emergent transport so when they were late getting there to pick him up, okay fine. That gave me time to get out of work, stop to get him a few things on the way and make it to Norfolk ahead of them. First off, I heard them ambulance before I saw the ambulance. It sounded awful. I have used this transport twice in the last two months. The crew that took care of me on my last incident were great. Susan Buchanan, Jacob Bryant and Steven Yakaboski were professional, and friendly. Made me very comfortable. Great crew. Thanks very much for all your help
Just got out of a 12 hr shift as a student with Amber and Eliza. Wow I cannot begin to explain how wonderful and receptive they were. They communicated really well with me and boosted my confidence with every patient interaction. I hope every EMS truck is equipped with EMT’s like them so that students can relate to my solid experience.
The ride here was great, Amber's driving was great, Eliza sat in the back with me all the way. They a full lift on the back of the truck to raise the beds up and down without having to the foot of it. Thank you Anita Hines
