The check engine light came on as we were leaving Winthrop on a Sunday and we ended up staying overnight to have a mechanic look at what was going on. Monday morning, we went to the Napa Auto store to get the code and both Auto repair shops in Twisp were too busy to see us. So, we called North Star Automotive and spoke to the owner. He said he was busy, but told us he'd take a look at it. Within 5 minutes, he determined the spark plug boot had come off. He put it back on and cleared the codes. Highly recommend this place. We’re from out of town and on the way home, the bottom of my car started scraping. They had us in and out, didn’t overcharge us at all. Cannot recommend enough!

Kyle is the best! He’s the owner, and only mechanic. Just because he’s the only mechanic at his shop doesn’t mean long wait times. Broke down on Thursday- fixed by Friday! Super fast at repairs and very knowledgeable. He didn’t over charge or diagnose the wrong parts. Very honest, kind man. I broke down and had to be towed into Winthrop. The tow truck driver recommended him. Couldn’t have gotten luckier during a crappy situation. Truck made it back over the mountains so 10/10 recommend him.
