We smelled what we thought was exhaust fumes coming into the car on our long drive to Winthrop and thought we should get it checked before driving home. It was a holiday week and Kyle put our car up to take a look. He pointed out a very small differential oil leak that was then burning on part of the exhaust system. Nothing that would kill us on our way home. He was helpful and clearly explained the problem. The assessment and explanation took about 30 minutes. We paid $130.
Kyle is one heck of a nice guy. Honest and kind. No wonder he is so busy! I was concerned about a dead battery and he checked charge for free. Thank you Kyle! You will have my business in future sir👍

The check engine light came on as we were leaving Winthrop on a Sunday and we ended up staying overnight to have a mechanic look at what was going on. Monday morning, we went to the Napa Auto store to get the code and both Auto repair shops in Twisp were too busy to see us. So, we called North Star Automotive and spoke to the owner. He said he was busy, but told us he'd take a look at it. Within 5 minutes, he determined the spark plug boot had come off. He put it back on and cleared the codes.
