A wonderful program with warm, caring teachers and director. I would recommend this school without a doubt. Children are happy and learning while having fun. The facility is always being updated and improved. It is clean, safe and attractive.

My daughter truly loved her North Shore Nursery School years as does my son now. The cooperative experience provides us the opportunity to be involved within the school and the wonderful special days allow us to see our children learn and interact socially. The teachers are loving and nurturing and we could not be happier!
Both my children attended NSNS and could not have been happier. The teachers are well qualified, nurturing and keep the children engaged. I wanted my children to love school and enjoy being in a learning environment, and that is what I got! The music and enrichment programs were wonderful. As a parent, I was happy to be part of a cooperative school and have the opportunity to participate in the classroom on a regular basis.
Obviously the last review was written by either a competitive school or someone who entered into the school family and didn't wow the cooperative with her presence. I have sent three children to North Shore and would send three more, if blessed. Unless you are in a sprawling country setting, most nursery schools will be 'small". The Director has been there for years as is the "3"s teacher, whom the children adore.
I totally recommend this school to my neighbors and friends. I have 3 kids and they all attended NSNS. What I love about the school is that I can be involved in my children's preschool years. I love that the school offers special days. The teachers are also very nurturing. The school has many fundraising events that are a lot of fun for the parents as well. NSNS is a wonderful preschool and I give it 5 starts!
4 stars because the school is small and facilities are old- small classrooms, small playground, small indoor play area, small parking lot. If you are looking for a LOT of space for your kids to run around, this is not the place... That said, everything else is WONDERFUL. Music program is excellent, director has been there for 20+ years, teachers -especially the 3s program, Mrs. Collins and Mrs. Hickey, are AMAZING...their classroom management skills, energy, loving yet firm approach, are perfect for 3s. My family loves North Shore Nursery School. My son attended the twos program and my daughter has enjoyed the two's program, nursery, and is currently in the pre-k. The teachers are wonderful, it is a safe, nuturing environment, the cooperative program gives you a chance to meet the other families and to get to know them.
