The bioluminescence night-time kayak trip was amazing! Launching from their nearby beach in Rockport Harbor is easy and fun. You will get your feet wet. You may or may not get your butt wet, but I wore a swimsuit to be careful. My husband wore jeans and actually did not get wet! Incredibly negligent. The team at North Shore Kayak sent us out into 15+ mph winds, 5+ foot waves, and white caps, insisting that the conditions were okay for our group of inexperienced kayakers. Their sea kayaks don't have lights, which is regulation for longer haul sea kayaking (as we were later told by the lighthouse owner), and they were not aware that the island we were paddling to closes at 5 PM. Aiden guided us to Thatcher Island and gave us a thorough lighthouse tour. We moved ahead of schedule, so Aiden added some distance to our tour. Aiden has a lot of experience and excellent training and knowledge of this sport and the area. This was my son's and my first sea kayak experience. The 14' kayaks were terrific and I'm very good condition. Thank you for setting this up Clay.
Great experience. Convenient delivery and pickup of clean, fully equipped kayaks for 2 days of beautiful touring through the marshes of Annisquam River and Wingaersheek. Met all our expectations.
We had an amazing morning paddling. The staff at North Shore Adventures were great. We rented 2 tandem kayaks and brought our 2 dogs. The kayaks are well maintained and they have a very wide selection, including single sit inside, touring, and sit on tops. We highly recommended paddling here!
