I got sober in 1982 my sponsor was Ergo Anne Frank Fahey I was grateful to have a place like the Alano club. I am also grateful for a man there who was the president his name was Rick Schoenbeck he took me and like a brother and accepting me for who I was I always will be grateful to him for his friendship and a sense of humor his moving capabilities
When i was on road driving big rig i had to deliver close by in Florida and then had a couple of days of rest. I needed to go to a meeting so I located the Alano club and told them my situation and was able to park my rig on the property and sleep comfortably. I was welcomed with open arms so if your ever close to the North Shore Alano club in Florida i would definitely stop by and enjoy the fellowship.
