Have you called a “local” plumber to find out that you’re really dealing with a large impersonal franchise? North River is a local guy who does the work himself. Many years of experience, Arthur really knows his stuff, and he’s a genuinely nice guy. He turned my Frankenstein plumbing into a professional job. Cannot recommend North River highly enough

Arthur came over for an emergency to replace a leaky water valve under the kitchen sink along with a kitchen faucet that had a stripped screw. He also point out a minor leak in my gas line and called bge for me. He did a great job and very friendly.

This contractor answered an early AM call and was nice/friendly on arrival, but my gut told me he was going to charge an arm and a leg (nice/friendly is not the same as good/honest), which was confirmed when he asked me what my husband does for a living. The first estimate to fix our water heater was $400, which increased to $850/900 several hours later, which totaled close to $1400 the next day.
