I called the Tuscaloosa office for an entire week last week, finally called the Birmingham office, trying to get an appointment. Twice the Birmingham office forwarded me to the Tuscaloosa Office who seems to never answer the phone. After a multitude of voicemails was left someone returned my call this past Monday (3) days ago to set me an appointment. Very good physicians and staff
This clinic has changed from North River Ophthalmology to UAB Callahan. I went to my appointment the 25th of January, and half an hour past my appointment they told me they no longer accept my insurance provider and wouldn't see me. I asked what insurance I needed, and they said vision. The front desk lady said, "I hate to turn you away because your eyes look irritated and like you need to see the doctor."
