North river is a damn joke they laid someone out stating I didn’t have workers comp. When I did and have proof. They don’t search very hard for proof .
I would not recommend North River Insurance company to anyone. Will not fight for or protect you. Will not investigate claims. Please please please do not use them or recommend them.
I had the pleasure of getting my contractor’s bond in California through North River Insurance (Crum & Forster). Everything went smoothly—until a client, unhappy with the color she chose for her concrete, decided to file a claim. Apparently, finishing the job exactly as agreed isn’t enough these days! Worst company, don’t use it
DON'T USE THIS COMPANY!! I hired North River as my bond, for a construction company. They paid to one of my clients $7,500, this client have a open balance of 25K and they still paid him without discuss any of the details with my company. BE AWARE!!!
