DISGRACE TO INSURANCE COMPANIES DO NOT USE FOR BOND!!! THEY ARE TERRIBLE AND WILL SCREW YOU OVER. THEY PAID OUT A CLIENT $25,000 OUT OF OUR BOND WITHOUT DOING ANY INVESTIGATION OR DUE DILIGENCE. THEY ARE FRAUD.
North river is a damn joke they laid someone out stating I didn’t have workers comp. When I did and have proof. They don’t search very hard for proof .
I would not recommend North River Insurance company to anyone. Will not fight for or protect you. Will not investigate claims. Please please please do not use them or recommend them.
I had the pleasure of getting my contractor’s bond in California through North River Insurance (Crum & Forster). Everything went smoothly—until a client, unhappy with the color she chose for her concrete, decided to file a claim. Apparently, finishing the job exactly as agreed isn’t enough these days!
