Visitors center and lodge was burned in fire. Fenced off so you could not get to overlook to see canyon at Angel point. They could change the fencing so the public could walk to the edge about � sidewalk wide and fence off the rest of the damaged site. The Ranger today said they are planning to rebuild but no timeline has been set. BUT GO SEE THE GREAT BEAUTIFUL VIEWS ON CAPE ROYAL ROAD, they are beautiful and more expansive. Point Imperial, Cape Royal, and Angel’s Window, but they plan to close this road October 16th.

Sad about the fire theres a lot of the area closed " north rim visitorscenter". But there were vault toilets . Still a pretty area.
since the fire, the visitors center has been shut down. you can't get close to the view point but there are other areas within a 30 min drive where you can get some stunning pictures. a great place for hiking, but not recommend because there is no staff their.
