I've been seeing psychiatrists since age 13 for various mental health issues. For one reason or another, everyone I saw was not a good fit – until I met Dr. Zhang. I've been with Dr. Zhang for four or five years now, which is the longest doctor-patient relationship I've ever had, especially with a psychiatrist. While I am sure Dr. Zhang could be a good fit for some, it was an awful fit. I expressed that my suicidal ideation was worse and I was feeling more and more tempted to go through with my plan. I asked about changing medications to try something else. Instead, she dropped me as a patient without any referrals to other providers. Luckily, I found it more laughable at the time rather than a sign that I should jump off a bridge. There are plenty of other providers out there. I do not recommend Dr. Zhang if you are suicidal.
