The billing dept called us Friday morning to let us know that we would need to pay $400 OOP for the following Monday at 6:30am for surgery. We had talked with them several times over the last 2 weeks and nothing was mentioned until 2 days before the surgery! This is a ridiculous policy! Patients should be informed at least a week before that they will need to pay OOP! Especially when it’s several hundred dollars and holiday time! Terrible!!!
You’d be hard pressed to find a worse surgery center, disorganized for early morning surgeries. Bathroom I used was not clean. Told their anesthesiologist that the local they were planning to use does not cover me for surgery. I had JUST been thru TWO orthopedic incidents (an attempt at resetting a broken arm and a scan with contrast where this agent was a fail; told anesthesia not to use lidocaine but she did ANYWAY; By the time surgery started it had come and gone. I was put under to insert trochers into my eye for vitrect... read more
