Food was okay. Service was horrible. The pizza was amazing. The lasagna was good. The signature Bolognese which was described as 'balanced' was bland and uninspiring. It tasted very much like hamburger helper. Our waitress, a girl with pigtails and a septum ring seemed offended when I asked for salt. I then waited for twenty minutes looking around for her so I could ask for a refill on my tea. She was nowhere to be found. Fuimos allí pretendiendo cenar y nos dijeron que esperáramos en la barra si queríamos tomando algo mientras nos buscaban un hueco en una mesa. El camarero de barra cada poco intentaba que acabáramos cenando allí con sugerencias de pedir comida. Al cabo de media hora de espera nos ponen la cuenta delante y cuando pedimos pagar con tarjeta de muy malas maneras sale el camarero a cobrarnos en un puesto fuera de la barra. Que tal se come?? Last-minute dinner on a Friday night of a holiday weekend, fully expected a long wait and chaos. Instead: no wait, smooth seating, and genuinely great service. Already winning. We ordered the calamari to start (perfectly crisp, not greasy), split a pizza that was solid and satisfying, and I had a pasta with a white sauce that was rich, comforting, and exactly what I wanted.
