I've been into the store several times and I have to say that the knowledge, friendliness and warmth exhibited genuinely by Travis and Shirley is unmatched. It's so refreshing to be able to shop local and support mom/pop business in an environment where they make welcome. And not being that knowledgeable myself about the equipment can be intimidating but they take all the time in the world to illustrate, explain and demonstrate, never making me feel inferior or ignorant... really awesome and highly recommended!
Exceptional customer service! My wife and I rented a cabin in Blue Ridge for our honeymoon in January 2016. I had to find the local outfitter shop and I did. We told Travis why we were in town, and he offered us a gift for the occasion. He was very generous. I also appreciated the Christian insight he shared with us. My wife and I have our cabin reserved for our first wedding anniversary this weekend, and I definitely plan to visit the shop again for more fellowship and outdoor supplies.
Stopped by today and bought an Osprey Exos 58 for my 'early' Christmas gift! Travis and Shirley are great people and a pleasure to do business with. I highly recommend them for all your backpacking needs and good, sound advice in the field. The atmosphere and merchandise are great. I felt like a kid in a candy store!
