Experienced severe irritation in one eye Thurs night. Home eye wash ineffective. Examined and treated by family doctor Friday morning who was unsure if foreign matter removed. After local anesthetic wore off irritation returned unabated. Called North Durham Eye Clinic @ 2 pm. Received app't for 3:00 pm. Examined, foreign material removed, provided with eye lubricant and released 3:45 pm. Friday night irritation reduced. Sat morning vision back to normal and irritation ceased.
