This is by far one of the best Hardware stores I have ever been to an all 8 states I've lived in. Not only are the staff experts on tools, they ask you what project you are working on and give tips and tricks. Just today Bud Zupp informed me of the blowout valve that might be the issue with my sink. Went down in the basement and there it was!!! It was fixed in seconds!! Highly recommend North Dixie Hardware.

Was in the hardware store today. I just wanted to set the record straight. The "Karen" in the last post was extremely argumentative and rude. The manager asked the typical questions anyone would. And the Karen took extream "offense" to it. I have delt with that manager for years and I would recommend his customer service to anyone. But I do understand that he was getting a bit frustrated with the Karen, anyone would. But with as busy as the store was this morning, I understand why he ok'ed the ladies return. I had a very disappointing experience at Do It Best Hardware in Vandalia (North Dixie), and unfortunately it has completely changed my opinion of this store. I purchased a tube of wood putty, and when I got it home, it was completely dried up and unusable. Nothing would come out of the tube. When I returned to the store to exchange or refund it, the manager, Chris, was extremely rude and dismissive.
