The North Carolina Glass Center has opened a second location. This one is in Black Mountain. It was near where I stopped for brunch so I had to check it out as I love glasswork. The Glass Center is inviting, and you will be greeted when you arrive. I was able to browse the artwork and watch a piece being made. I learned about the NC Glass Center's mission of a shared glass studio where all glass artists can access it by renting time. My husband and I had so much fun in the 30 minute hot shop class! Highly highly recommend! Ben was a fantastic instructor. He was very friendly, informative, and helpful the entire time. We will go back again!
What a gem in black mountain! The building is beautiful and the artwork is incredible. We love watching the artists while they work in the hot shop. And the 30 minute make your own class was so much fun! It's very hands on and Colin is a fantastic instructor.
Fantastic place to find handmade gifts and support local artists. Watch the artists while they work, or sign up for a class to make your own. The NC Glass Center has been a wonderful addition to Downtown Black Mountain with a unique and immersive space.
