I had the worst experience ever and they cost me thousands of dollars due to their poor customer services! My local agency sold their business to North Carolina coastal insurance and I contacted them several times about a payment that was not taken out of my account in February and maybe adding renters insurance! When we moved into the area a few years years ago, we entrusted NC Coastal Insurance with all our insurance needs. We have nothing but praise for the classy manner in which they conducted business with us throughout this period. It was extremely comforting to know that they had our backs no matter what the occasion and, for that, we highly recommend them.
I have known the owner of this company, Hernan Lois, for 10 years or so and thought of him as a friend. In the past decade I submitted only one claim for flooding of my home following a Hurricane, receiving only $1200? for that one-and-only claim. My home has withstood at least 5 hurricanes and still has plastic on the roof since an adjuster deemed the roof did not need replacing.
