Generally quite poor service and lack of patient empathy from the reception staff. Appointments are extremely difficult to book. Their software systems are often in some form of transition and rarely allow prebooking.
I came in for a simple letter and left feeling like I’d auditioned for the next season of “Medical Survivor.” Their receptionist olympics would test even the most patient saint, and being hung up on mid-sentence really got my cardio up! When I finally arrived in person to calmly address why they had been so unprofessional and to actually try and have my queries answered, six staff members performed a perfectly choreographed Reception Flash-Mob to handle a calm, polite patient. The staff are lovely - really helpful, especially in person. It is never pleasant discussing your illness with a receptionist but in this day and age it is necessary.
I felt very unwell on Fri 11th April as I had a cold that was causing me breathing problems with a cough which gave me chest pain. So on Friday lunchtime I decided to get help. I phoned up and discussed my symptoms with a very understanding receptionist who said she would get a doctor to call me. Within minutes Dr Lloyd Morgan rang me and after a short discussion he asked me to visit him at the North Cardiff Surgery. Within minutes of arriving he called me in and checked me out.
