I was referred to North Brisbane Psychologists (Lutwyche) by my doctor for a bulk-billed appointment, as I am currently awaiting a Disability Support Pension (DSP). Unfortunately, I had to cancel an appointment just six hours prior due to a sudden and severe Meniere’s drop attack — a medical condition that completely incapacitated me at the time. I’ve been debating sending this for some weeks now, but have decided I feel I should, if for nothing more than feedback. After I was referred, I received a call in which I was asked what my preferences would be regarding seeing a psychologist. Male/Female, location, time etc. I mentioned I would prefer to speak to a female, if possible, preferably at Aspley. I was then sent an email recommending what your company deemed appropriate. Mr Pennings on his Facebook profile states he works at your clinic. I find his comments on social media abhorrent, misinformation, inflammatory and disgusting. I believe in free speech, but not disgusting inflammatory hate speech that is also misinformation.
