If 0 stars was a choice I would’ve chosen it. I felt beyond discriminated against. My family and I (4pp including a 5yr old autistic child) went to the beach for some fun this summer. A sign said no tents but at least 4 tents stood so I didn’t think my little tent for my kiddo would be an issue. I went to set up our spot and sure enough a guard told us we couldn’t. I watched 3 lifeguards pull a completely limp young man out of the water that was completely unconscious dropping him at least 5 times in the water in about 10 inches deep as the other lifeguards walked over in no hurry whatsoever. they then drug him on the beach and did absolutely nothing. But what I can say is they are really great about keeping umbrellas in a line down the beach. They come running if your umbrella is too big or not in the right place but will take their sweet time to save a kid literally drowning. I’m not... read more
08/02/2025 Lacks Beach Service deserves serious praise, especially the lifeguard stationed near Pier 14, right in front of RipTydz, along with the umbrella guy. She stood out immediately, the only guard I saw actively patrolling the shoreline, walking up and down instead of staying seated in the tower like the others. Annual stay at MBTP and we were happily surprised to see lifeguards back on the property after missing them for the last couple of years. After only a few days into our multi-week stay, we were thrilled that one of the lifeguards, Veronika, took the time while still staying focused on her duties to speak with our group.
