small shop tucked away right before US 101S entrance new address:1901 Old Middlefield Way # 15 mountain view Recommended by Palo Alto school district music dept. went to repair a string. Very knowledgeable and interesting to talk to. Heard he bought all of the Sonic Music's violin stock. I should have bought when Sonic was still around selling some used for $49!! but, norm is probably not the cheapest, he's full of info and trust he knows his stuff.
Im from England on tour and Norm repaired my fiddle whilst I waited. Norm was fricking great, and made my fiddle sound better than it did in the first place. He also has some amazing fiddles, well worth a visit. Thanks Norm :-)
Call before visiting store Before going to the store, I recommend you call (650.968.4800) to make sure they are actually open. Their hours have been inconsistent and I have gone twice during what were supposedly store hours to find the place closed. The hours posted on their website are not always accurate either.

Love the breakfast! This restaurant has the feel of an old fashioned diner. Seating is available at tables or at the dining "counter". I have only eaten breakfast at Norm's but it was tasty and cooked to order. Good service and good breakfast.
Diner like atmosphere Norm's will remind many people of Denny's but it isn't Denny's, it's Norm's. The service here is great with friendly servers and also a fast chefs. You can't go wrong for anything on the breakfast menu, which by the way is served all day. If you're really hungry I'd recommend the New York Steak and Eggs plate which will fill your appetite. Better than Denny's I like it because it's open 24 hours. I always go here late at night with friends and the servers are always friendly. There are a lot more options here than at the local denny's and I am a fan of their omelettes with avocado.
Good food I love the down home food that you can find here. It's pretty much the normal diner food that you find at other places, but I really love to go there for breakfast on a weekend.
