Avoid 'Pass the buck' John at all costs. He gets your confidence and then your money. Acts like he will take care of everything, yet does nothing. Once that happens, he gives every reason under the sun why things take forever and don't get done. Gives delivery dates, then changes them once he gets payment. Multiple times. Constantly blames everyone and everything else instead of getting things done. Instead of listening to the customer, he gets upset and proceed to yell over the phone and try to lecture you. Sell Destiny homes that are terrible from trashy builder quality to delivery (ran into a tree limb) came late, took 6 months to set up and make repairs. Still have ugly trim work, poor installation of backsplashes and crooked walls/doorways throughout the home not to mention roof leaks. They have tried 3 times to repair it. Now we are stuck with a poor quality built home and have to pay for the next 30 years. Very sad about our home and the decision to buy from Destiny Home Builders in GA. Oh my. Went on Sunday today. They opened 20 minutes late. We pulled up. We knew he was just opening and had things to do so we sat there truck running. Some di@$head yelled at us “don’t give a mother fucker a time to breathe”. He yelled this we heard it thru our closed windows truck still running. And he still kept running his trap. All we did is pull in. So we drove an hour and 15 minutes to Lake City to see Palm Harbor homes.
I can't say enough good things about our salesman JW Williams. I have never encountered such qualities in a salesman. It took almost 3 months from the time of sale to our closing and not once did JW apply any pressure on us. His patience was amazing and was always willing to help in any way he could. Our beautiful home will be delivered next week and I know JW will do everything in his power to get it finished out so that we can move in quickly. It took 18 months to complete a modular home with this company due to their personnel problems. After the home was completed some of the components of the home were what I would call trailer quality. The back door was a trailer door opening out to the steps with no way to place a storm door and the glass sweats like crazy on cool days. I apologize for the delay in the process and any inconvenience this may have caused her.
Thomas has helped me so much, I called him at random to get advice on a used Mobile Home that I was buying off of Craig's list and he willingly gave me such great guidance. He then assisted me in finding a used MH for my nephew to put on our property. The whole process was incredible! I have nothing but love & respect for him and this company that he works for.
