This place has been an absolute nightmare since day one. I’ve had several packages stolen and management has been horrifically apathetic and refuse to supply footage for “safety” purposes. I have medical devices that are shipped to me and yet the safety of the thief is more important. This complex has a major package theft issue. Every time I’ve gone to the package room there are multiple ripped open packages with nothing in them including one of my packages and nothing is being done about it. Today I got off work and found about 5 packages ripped open and stolen. I know for a fact there is a security guard here at night roaming the halls. It took the leasing office over a month and 3 different attempts to send the correct lease with my name, the correct price, and the correct dates. We were month to month and told them that we were unsure about renewing for an entire year because of the frustration with their office. They had no response until giving us 48 hours to sign or our monthly rate increases to over $5,500 and we needed to already have given a 60 day notice to move out, therefore, forcing us to resign. I called Normandy Columbus apartment complex and asked about renting an apartment without having a job. I wanted to take some time off and relax for a bit, and I prepared financially for that occasion. Do yourself a favor and do not move here unless you would like all of your packages and mail stolen. Management team is extremely negligent and I’ve lost hundreds of dollars in stolen goods. They say there are cameras but we are yet to see any footage or repercussions. I have never lived in a building where it’s such a prevalent problem. Not the best for safety purposes and garage door will be broken for months at a time while you are still paying $150 for SECURE parking.
