My bestfriend had pancreatic cancer. Dr. Zuckerman didn’t properly assess the health of his liver before advising him to start chemo, which finished off his liver, making the cancer a lesser problem. He died in hospice of liver and kidney failure.
Dr. Norman Zuckerman gave me a unmedicated bone marrow biopsy despite me telling him that I was not ready to begin the procedure. He ripped my pants down exposing my backside to a room full of people on the other side of the door and began the procedure without saying a word to me. Dr. Norm was extremely caring, personable, and professional and efficient during my treatment for breast cancer. He remembered the names of my pets and asked me about them during the appointment. I recommended him my friend with Ovarian cancer and she was also extremely pleased. I am very grateful for the care Norm gave my treatment, his consideration of my grief at being sick, and am pleased with the outcome of being well and out of treatment. I would highly recommend him to anyone!
Dr Zuckerman is a very busy doctor who takes care of many, many patients. It may be true he is not the best communicator, but if you ask him a direct question he will answer you, however he expects you to do your homework and learn about your illness. He cared for my husband 30 years ago this year and I must say if I were to need an oncologist today, Dr zuckerman would be the first I would call.
VERY POOR COMMUNICATOR. HE CAN NOT MAKE A DECISION AND WILL NOT STAY AROUND TO TALK ABOUT MY CONCERNS.
