Dr Chen was my GI when he was at RMC. He was awesome at taking care of my Crohn's symptoms. I am truly thankful for all he did for me.
Dr. Hong saved my life. Had he not diagnosed my cancer- lymphoma, I would not be here today.
After dealing with countless doctors that brushed off my symptoms, I was was referred to Dr. Chen. I felt like he was the first doctor to actually take my symptoms seriously. He is extremely knowledgeable, up front, and thoroughly answers questions. What I love about Dr. Chen is that he really listens before diagnosing, and explains his entire thought process. If it weren’t for him I would still be bed ridden. I would recommend seeing him.

Great first appointment, Dr. Chen was very informative, his mannerism are very patient friendly and warm. I am very glad he is my Doctor.
I found Dr. Chen to be very professional, friendly and competent. He explained what he was going to do, why he was recommending it and what I could expect to and what I had to do to prepare.. After the procedure was over, he gave a short version of the findings (I was a little grogy from the anesthesia). He also provided a written report of the findings.. His office scheduled a follow up office visit to go over the entire findings, including the lab results. He asked if I had any concerns.
Dr. Chen is very detailed and comprehensive. He is very easy to work with and goes the extra mile to make sure things are clearly understood, and there is a clear plan for treatment. Great Doctor!

Before seeing Dr. Chen, I had been seeing various doctors for weeks, none of which gave me any answers, and almost all of them quickly disregarded the pain I had. Dr. Chen took his time to hear my symptoms, do a thorough exam, and order a variety of tests and procedures to make SURE I could get some answers. I was finally moving forward with finding out where my pain was coming from! He is very patient, his irvine office is beautiful and clean, and his staff is amazing, friendly and so helpful!
