Unfriendly staff
wow. I don't think any other ice cream shop was a semi-finalist for the James Beard award. Like ever... and every time I go, it lives up to the hype. easy 5 stars
What a cool and unique ice cream experience! The presentation alone is what initially caught my attention, it was such a fun and different way to enjoy ice cream. They had some really unique soft serve flavors, including strawberry lemonade and Oreo, along with a great selection of toppings to customize your treat. The combination of fun flavors and the creative presentation made this such a memorable stop. Definitely a must try if you’re looking for a fun dessert experience rather than just your typical ice cream shop!
On a Friday afternoon after shopping, the adorable maven district we popped in to have a ice cream treat. We ordered two normal size, Oreo, milk and vanilla chocolate dipped cones and one of their ice cream bars. Our bill was $32. How is it that those three items came to that amount? I have no idea how these are priced and now I realize that their menu didn’t show any prices honestly, it wasn’t any better than Dairy Queen, which is really too bad.
My husband usually likes everything, so it says a lot that neither of us enjoyed this experience. I’m not sure how ice cream can be messed up, but the flavors tasted off and were surprisingly salty, even though we didn't order anything that was supposed to be salty. Our kids didn't like it either and ended up throwing their ice cream away. The customer service also felt a bit odd and unwelcoming. Unfortunately, based on our experience, I wouldn't recommend this place.
