Nordic Preserves is a true NYC gem — I’ve been stopping by for years, it’s what I miss from living in LES!
Had a fantastic light lunch! The bread to spread ratio on the sandwich was perfect (also bread had great texture, both soft & crunchy where you wanted it). I had always been nervous about pickled herring but was surprised to enjoy it as much as I did. We grabbed some cold wine from one of the other stalls and it was a perfect meal. Will be back!

Have been coming here since their original Essex Market location and they remain consistently excellent. Beautiful Nordic flavors, wonderful quality, and such a warm atmosphere. The signature broccoli soup on a rainy morning today was perfection
Oh my gosh, what a selection! If you love fresh proteins, especially fish and seafood, this is an amazing place for it in the city.
