East New Market seemed like a location that was....hopeful, because it's not "close" to a lot of people. But the drive to get here was definitely worth it. And we apparently aren't the only ones who think so, because they had a nice crowd. Their Swedish Pancakes with lingonberry jam and whipped cream will have you swearing off buttermilk pancakes. The urge to NOT leave with our self-created "sample pack" from the bakery case was ignored quickly. Good coffee. Cheerful folks behind the counter. We'll be back.

We tried Nordic Cottage today and everything was delicious! We got sandwiches, bagels, and a few bakery items, and every single thing was great. The atmosphere was so cute and cozy, and we especially loved how kid-friendly it was with the chalkboard area and things for kids to write on. Such a welcoming little spot — we’ll definitely be back!
