I’m not a fan of SLU care systems, but it’s a big organization and because of that I understand the long wait times and such. I will not hold my review of Dr. Porter responsible for that. As far as Dr. Porter, she has been my two daughters doctor since their birth (now 19 and 12 y/o) She has always been informative and gentle with them. She has helped us thru some rough diagnosis. My young daughter isn’t comfortable with any other doctor and to me that says a lot!

For almost 2 yrs I complained about the same symptoms one of them a sharp gripping pain in right rib that feels like your having a heart attack and all I got was ahhh ok... So I requested a new doctor and got a diagnosis that was confirmed by a ultra sound the next day... I have a large Stone in my gallbladder.. Wish I new this a year ago it might be gone by now!!! Out of the 17 symptoms that that a person may have gullstones I gave Dr. Porter at least 6 or more of them!

Waited over 2 hours to be seen by the doctor. She did not apologize and did not have a positive bedside manner. I felt as if she didn't listen to me when I explained my signs and symptoms. I would recommend finding another doctor.

Every time I call the office there's a 30 min or so wait to talk to anyone. Usually unable to talk to who I need to talk to
