I had been going to this doctor for years and she was kind and caring but something changed. She was not happy with me that I hadn't yet undergone a baseline mammogram and when I ask questions about whether there was something more modern and potentially less invasive than the traditional type of test she shamed me asking me sternly if I was "being an idiot" and saying that everyone knows that a traditional mammogram is the best and most accurate test. Answers all questions concisely and confidently. Made sure I understood what was happening throughout appointment and examination. Had great bedside manor about my concerns and results of testing. Like a breathe of fresh air I felt like someone had listened to me and took into account my feelings and what would be best for me and asked me how I felt about treatment options. Made me feel in control of my body again.
Dr Estella is caring and compassionate. She sat with us, spoke in layman's terms, and took all the time we needed to discuss options. She also found a treatment plan that helped us avoid unnecessary surgery. Couldn't have asked for better!
