I have been a returning customer, so I’ve had the chance to observe this business over multiple visits. Unfortunately, a consistent issue has become impossible to ignore. The male manager/owner, Andy, significantly affects the atmosphere whenever he is present. The environment immediately feels tense and uncomfortable. I rarely leave negative reviews, but this one is deserved. The male manager was rude, unprofessional, and frankly behaved like a complete jerk. A manager sets the tone of a business, and his behavior showed a serious lack of integrity and respect. I would strongly caution others before supporting this place.

Whenever the male manager is present, the entire atmosphere turns unpleasant. His behavior is toxic — not only toward the front desk, but also toward his own staff. It creates an uncomfortable environment and completely ruins the experience.

I’ve been to Nomad multiple times at both the Brookline and Newton locations. My husband even bought me a gift card for Valentine’s Day. I usually go to the Newton location and specifically book with Linda, who I really like. Despite having a confirmed reservation (and confirming again the day before), I was told upon arrival that my appointment was overbooked and that I needed to come back one hour later. I really didn't want to give this rating. I had been to this spa several months back when I was visiting from out of town. Today I was able to get some free time. THE RECEPTIONIST WAS THE MOST RUDEST PERSON I'VE EVER MET!!!! I walked in smiling (because I was excited 😊). She looked up and looked away....ok...so I said Hello, I'm your 3pm.
