I had a good experience using the services of Attorney John Nohlgren. He was both knowledgeable and calming in our first conversation which made me feel much more at ease. He provided an outline of his course of actions with a realistic timeline to solve my issue. He was easy to reach and called or texted back in a timely manner. His pricing model was fair and reasonable. I would highly recommend his services to anyone needing an attorney.
He's a misrepresentation of the law. He knowingly and willingly filed the incorrect petition with courts on my brother's case. He allowed the judge to force him to remain on my brother's case. He request to represent himself and was denied this right. If this isn't a conflict of interest, then what will you call it.
In Florida, criminal defendants have a constitutional right to represent themselves in court, known as pro se representation. This right is established under the Sixth Amendment and further supported by the Supreme Court case, Faretta v. California. However, this right is not absolute and hinges on the defendant's competency to understand the proceedings and waive their right to counsel knowingly and intelligently.
