Heads up - the restaurant hiked their prices significantly about a month ago and removed popular specials like Taco Tuesday. The idea of paying $14-15 per taco is wildly cynical. The service is always good and the atmosphere is cool, but I don't see myself going back while the prices are so disappointingly high.
I was so excited to I come here because I passed it up so many times. But don't let the size outside fool you. It is a little tight inside. It's more open if you eat outside but I chose to eat in. I liked the Dia de la muerte art but the music did not match the ambiance that they were going for. I first thought it was extremely overpriced, but then you see the serving size and you see why. Honestly the food was terrific. If the portions and price were less I feel like I would make this a frequent stop and not just a rare occasion.
Food was really good (especially if you love traditional spanish/mexican good). My only complaint was most dishes cost roughly ~$35+. I dont really think the food quantity/quality really matched the price, BUT it was very cool to eat in a temple like this one. It's actually disheartening for the price, because if they lowered everything by $10-$20 they'd probably double/triple their current customer count and make more money overall. The staff are very friendly and mostly attentive.
