Unnecessary pain I am not happy. I brought my 14-yr old friend in to get put to sleep, after he was beset by tumors and could no longer eat. The doctor had to give him a shot "to calm him down." He was in the back of my SUV and very calm already. This is a dog who never yelped at a vaccine. The calming shot hurt him so badly that he howled in pain, then collapsed like a bear from a tranquilizer dart, with his tongue out and his eyes staring blankly. Thanks ! It's never fun to take your pet the hospital but my dog, Sparky, was throwing up and I didn't know what to do. The staff was very calm, friendly, and helpful. Sparky had to stay over night on IV's, he recovered and I'm very thankful.
