My friends and family thought I had lost my mind when I sold my house and left a successful 23-year career with Nike, Inc to launch my own business. Even my daughter Keelie, a certified veterinary technician and canine massage therapist, questioned my decision. But after 4 years of hard work and research, I achieved my dream in June 2002, by opening Noah's Arf. Our business is a full-service pet care facility based in Portland, Oregon. We provide a safe, clean, and fun environment for pets, whether you leave them at Noah's A... read more

Noah's Arf When we went on vacation, we were very sad to leave our dog for the first time. The peop;e at Noah's Arf were very friendly and made leaving our dog a little bit easier. The facility is clean and our dog did fine.
Find somewhere else at any cost !
former employee's take – as a former employee i thought it would be helpful to let people in on the true goings on at the " number one dog kennel in portland" the owner seems only to care about how much money she makes rather than actual care of the dogs. in my time there i have seen dogs horribly injured while the management tells the owners there is nothing wrong and no need to take them to the vet all becuase " we are not quilified to make that judgement" i have seen helpless dogs locked in small boxes for entire days bec... read more
Please, NEVER take your dog here! – As a former employee of Noah's Arf, I urge you to go elsewhere. I'm aghast by one of the reviews below that mentioned "the promise of 2-3 employees watching the dogs at all times" -- is this a joke made by the owner? The entire time I worked there only one employee was ever inside the kennel managing the dogs -- the numbers of which could be 35+ per day! "Techniques" utilized that you won't know about: -Constant use of squirt bottles in the dog's faces -"Gentle Leaders" left on the dogs AL... read more

bad bite – My dog was given back to me after four hours in daycare with ick on his back, which no one seemed to notice. I checked and found him bleeding, took him to the vet for stitches for a dog bite on his neck. I called to ask what had happened and no one had a clue. I was told the owner would call me and it's been months and i'm still waiting.
Dog care not ideal; Professionalism (or lack thereof) atrocious. – I have one friend who took his dog to Noah's Arf and one friend who is a former employee. According to the dog owner, the service was passable at first, although after a time, his dog refused to go into the kennel and wouldn't eat while there. He was especially angry about the terrible haircut the dog received from Arf's groomer. You could see all of the razor marks, like it was shaved with a weed-whacker. My friend who worked there was really excited in the ... read more
Noah's Arf a great place for shorter boarding times! – We've left our very spoiled dog here a few times for trips of no more than 4 days and nights. When we took him to the place we used before he would always get very upset and not want us to leave but at Noah's Arf he never seems upset and is excited to go in and be with the other dogs. Once they forgot to clip his nails and charged us for it but were very nice and returned our money with no problem. The staff is courteous, the dog likes it, there's easy parking. It's a bi... read more
A home away from home – I'm not a dog psychologist, but I do know this....our dog loves it here, gets excited every time.....and our dog has never caught anything here, unlike a couple of other boarding places we have tried. Plus, the cute report cards are funny.
