I put off getting my garage door fixed for months because I was having so many bad experiences with contractors and repair folks in general. It was pure luck that I stumbled across NJ Garage. I ended up using them twice to fix broken cables and springs. Each time, they focused on the repairs, did not upsell services, and were very respectful. Grateful for the good experience.
They are not responsive and very unreliable. They don't return calls for service requests and even after speaking to someone they tell you to send them a text and they don't respond. They always have some sort of excuse for not responding. Their customer service is not good at all. Frankly, their customer service sucks. Avoid them, they are overpriced and not there for you when you need service. They installed 2 new garage doors for us and less than a year one started to malfunction and not respond to the remotes. Joe completely saved us today! We unfortunately had a terrible experience right before meeting him—someone claiming to be with a similar company name ("Garage for NJ") came out, completely fooled us, and tried to rip us off with a predatory quote. Then came Joe, the real professional. He stepped in, gave us a completely transparent and reasonable quote, and didn't try to take advantage of our situation at all.
