1) Too ready to prescribe. 2) Tried a serious (you could die) scare tactic. Inappropriately. My follow-up exposed it. 3) Recommended a costly procedure not covered by insurance (and there was no discussion about that).
My 95-yr-old mother's primary care doctor dismissed her stomach pain as "just part of being 95." After months of getting nowhere, we drove 30 miles to see Dr. Kibar. What a blessing! He spent an hour with her, looking over her records and then setting out a plan to get to the source of her pain and help her get some relief. Finally, we had a doctor who respected and valued my mother's life! It has been a week, my mother's stomach pain is gone and she feels like life is worth living.
Very knowledgeable and doesn't rush to put me or my children on unnecessary meds. He and his staff are great and can usually get me in same day if needed.
